Taking a sip from her cocktail, smiling and chatting with the bar attendant, I saw this girl sitting at the Lomalagi Bar. She looked very relaxed and was enjoying her drink together with the company of the bartender. She was really happy when I approached her to answer a few questions.

She originally came from Japan but was studying in Australia. She was on a break from her university so she thought to stopover in Fiji before going back to Japan. Her stopover was for 3 days and she didn’t regret making that decision. This was the great opportunity for her to relax her mind before going back home. “After the recent disaster that occurred in Japan, I wasn’t able to think straight. I was very worried about things back home. Fiji helped me relax my mind and also that I knew the fact that my family members were safe back there. I’m very happy that I’m returning back to Japan after this trip. I missed my family very much”,she quoted.

The most memorable part of her stay was when she got to watch the sunset and the sunrise from her bedroom and the beach. She had also gone for a walk on the beach and watched as the sun set in the horizon. She found out about Club Fiji Resort through the internet and also through some of her friends’ recommendations. She went for horse riding and visited the Nadi town.

“What I enjoyed about Fiji is the Beautiful weather and how everything is so relaxed here compared to the atmosphere in Australia and in Japan. There everyone is always in a hurry. Fiji is just totally unique in its own senses. I must say people of Fiji are lucky to have such a climate and the atmosphere. “When I go back home, I will plan to come to Fiji again and this time I will bring my family and stay here at Club Fiji Resort”. “I really don’t feel like going back!” said Arika.
