As I was walking around the resort I saw an aged couple sitting under the thatched umbrella. Gilli as everyone called her and her husband Ervin came from Gold Coast for a holiday here in Fiji. This couple had chosen the package that Club Fiji offers in their website. They thought that it was a great deal in many ways.
They were in Fiji for almost a month and stayed around places. They had stayed in Club Fiji Resort for 9 days as they chose the 9 days package available at the resort; they went on the Robinson Crusoe’s Retreat for 8 days and were on the Captain Cook Cruise for 7 days. So one can say they had a handful of fun and experience here in Fiji.
From the resort they had gone for the Natadola Beach Picnic which was for half day, they went to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant and the orchid farm, they visited the Lautoka Market and lastly they had gone fishing. This is what was in their package from Club Fiji. They had free wine, free continental breakfast and lunch.“I think this package is the best thing that people could choose when they come to Club Fiji Resort. It is just so convenient and easy, stated Gilli.
“We really like fishing and the fishing trip that we took up was nice. We did the hand line fishing and it was just great seeing the beautiful scenery from where we were docked at. Fishing is our activity and we love it. It came in the package the resort offered and was a bonus.
The other activities that they had taken up outside of the resort were as follows:
The creme de la creme was the included tour on the Capt.Cook Sailing Schooner – a beautiful refurbished old sailing schooner and they sailed to a stunning island where there were plenty of private beach areas couples could go to and we were served such a wonderful bbq lunch(they didn’t need dinner that night), drinks of all kind – wine, beer, soft, sparkling, etc were freely served and beach activities were offered. For them this was the highlight of all.
Then it was the 8 days retreat at Robinson Crusoe Island where they got the opportunity to experience a whole lot of new deal.“This was the best retreat, superior to anything. The whole island was the best part of the trip and how clean, well presented, lovely and organized it was. The meals were excellent and the best part was that we would wake up in the morning and hear the people (tribal warriors) of the island calling out for all of us to go for the activities” . There were snorkeling, crab catching, sea kayaking, free 15 minutes beach massage, traditional fish dive, reef walks, coconut jewelry making, learning the island dance, midnight bonfire and Traditional kava ceremony.
